Pillar 04 · Accountable by design

Outcome owned.

Performance is the goal. Accountability is the feature: outcomes you can trace and figures you can defend.

Outcomes you can explain. Not just celebrate.

A good quarter is easy to present. The harder part is showing why it happened, and showing that the same decisions hold up when a client reads the working.

Why it matters

More marketers trust a model than a last click.

Buyers have stopped taking platform-reported success at face value. Asked which cross-channel method they consider most reliable, US marketers put media mix modeling first and last-click attribution last. That shift is why we treat the explanation as part of the deliverable itself.

46.9%Of US marketers name media mix modeling the most reliable cross-channel measurement method. (eMarketer / TransUnion, July 2025)
34.1%Name incrementality testing instead, the second read in the same question. (eMarketer / TransUnion, July 2025)
19.4%Name last-click attribution, the lowest of the three. (eMarketer / TransUnion, July 2025)
$439Of every $1,000 in programmatic spend reaches consumers, 7.9 points above the December 2023 baseline. (ANA/TAG TrustNet Benchmark, Q2 2025)

On the reading: the three eMarketer / TransUnion figures sum to roughly 100, so we read them as one mutually exclusive question about which method marketers rate most reliable, not as investment intent. The TrustNet benchmark is a separate program from the ANA’s December 2023 supply-chain transparency study, which it measures against.

The standard

How the work is made explainable.

Accountability is a set of working habits. These four run through a campaign from the first plan to the final read.

Traceable decisioning

Logged as it happens

Logging and timestamping optimizations is how the work is set up, so the decision trail is there before anyone asks for it.

Documented optimization

The reason travels with the change

Each shift in budget, bid and channel mix carries a written rationale: what the signal showed, what we changed, and what we expected it to do.

Defensible reporting

Built on real conversion signal

Reporting is designed around the conversion signal the business actually runs on, ahead of the metrics that are easiest to move.

Measured, then reported

Method matched to the objective

Media mix modeling, attention, incrementality and brand lift are chosen against the objective on the brief.

What lands on the desk
Working
shown, by default

The report is the summary. The record underneath it is what makes the summary hold.

The optimization logA dated record of what changed and why, kept as the campaign runs.
Source lines under the figuresNaming the provider, the methodology and the period is the default on published numbers.
Method notes beside the resultHow a figure was produced sits next to the figure, so the read is interpretable without a call.
Reconciled numbersPlatform, plan and billing figures are designed to tie out before a report ships.
A walk-through on requestWhen a number matters, we can walk you back to the partner, the methodology and the period behind it.
Where the methods live

Where the evidence comes from.

Accountability is how the work is made explainable. The disciplines that produce the evidence, and the point in a campaign where they get set, each have their own page.

Bring us a number you need to defend.

We will show you how it would be produced, logged and explained. All under your brand.
